SHIFT Data
The SHIFT dataset includes weekly airborne VSWIR imaging spectroscopy data collected in Santa Barbara County and coastal Pacific waters from February to May 2022.
Phenocam Data
At Sedgwick Reserve, new camera technologies are improving ecological monitoring and wildfire detection. Two phenocams installed in summer 2022 provide continuous data on seasonal vegetation changes, supporting research on plant health, climate impacts, carbon cycling, and water availability. These cameras allow long-term tracking of ecosystem conditions through canopy phenology.
In response to the Lake Fire in July 2024, a third phenocam has been added to monitor post-fire ecosystem recovery. This camera will track vegetation regeneration and changes in canopy health, offering insights into fire impacts on ecosystem resilience, carbon cycling, and long-term recovery.
